Portuguese/American Cultural Exchange, Inc is a non-profit corporation located in Woburn, Massachusetts.

The mission of Portuguese/American Cultural Exchange (PACE) is to engage US and Portuguese cultures through the fado, an urban music of Portugal that expresses the Portuguese identity through lyricism, composition, performance and community. To perform this mission, we undertake activities that strengthen ties between younger and older generations of Portuguese and Portuguese-Americans, and that increase the appreciation of Portuguese culture across other communities.

In our inaugural year of 2013, fado artists from Portugal will collaborate with fellow fado artists from the US in a series of concerts, workshops and other activities of community engagement, such as visits to schools of Portuguese. This year's program benefits from the collaboration and support of individuals and organizations with a deep understanding of Portuguese and Portuguese-American cultures. Many of the activities will be conducted in part in English in order to facilitate broader engagement with US communities.
